How often should my system get maintenance?
Many equipment manufacturers recommend professional maintenance at least once a year. In Arizona, spring is a common time, before the cooling season. A heat pump heats and cools, so it runs most of the year; ask whether a second visit before winter makes sense for your system.
What is the difference between a heat pump and an air conditioner?
Both cool your home the same way, by moving heat from inside to outside. A heat pump can also run in reverse to heat your home in winter. An air conditioner only cools, so homes with one usually have a separate furnace or heater.
